The Pocket Paintings Art Club is designed for tween & teen artists to build technical drawing & painting skills while enjoying the art making process. Each week we will do a featured painting focusing on a variety of painting skills & techniques. Your young artist will get to exercise their imagination and grow in their skill & artistry. They will have the opportunity to connect with other young artists that love painting too!

What Kind of Will be Taught?
Weekly paintings will focus on layering, brush techniques, sketching skills, perspective, adding depth using highlights & shadows, texture, and more. Members will take an active part in choosing the subject matter and/or skills they would like to learn or improve upon. Using imagination and creativity are encouraged. As young artists gain the skills necessary for success using the painting medium, they can branch into finding & developing their own artistic style. "There are no mistakes, only happy accidents."
